Fans reacted to Jon Jones and Alex Pereira posing for a picture while attending Noche UFC 306 at The Sphere, Las Vegas. The pair are among the most dominant champions in the history of UFC's upper weight classes and there have been talks of a potential superfight at heavyweight, which has garnered a lot of fan interest in recent times.
Despite this, there appeared to be no sense of animosity or competitive attitude between the two in a picture posted on UFC's official X handle. The caption read (in emojis):
"[G.O.A.T.] [meets] [Easter Island Moai]."

Fans took to the comments section and shared their thoughts on a variety of topics like the outcome of a potential superfight, Jones' run-ins with the law when in Las Vegas, and the apparent size parity between the two despite competing in different weight classes.
Some fans jokingly compared Pereira to an Easter egg as UFC CEO Dana White recently announced a $25,000 prize for the first fan to find the hidden eggs at The Sphere.
Jones is considered among the greatest fighters in MMA history. He ruled the light heavyweight division for the better part of a decade before making a much-awaited move to heavyweight in 2023. 'Bones' defeated former interim title holder Ciryl Gane to win the undisputed heavyweight title at UFC 285. However, he has been on the sidelines since due to a pectoral tear.
Meanwhile, Pereira is a kickboxing legend who has also created a lasting legacy since transitioning to MMA. He is the first combat sports athlete to win two divisional titles in two different sports. The 37-year-old is the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion and the former middleweight title holder. He has not ruled out a potential move to heavyweight to fight Jones and interim champion Tom Aspinall.
