Jonathan Haggerty showed why he was one of the best pure strikers in the world when he went toe-to-toe with Thai star Mongkolpetch Petchyindee in February 2022 at ONE: Bad Blood.

A recent post that ONE Championship published on Instagram featured one of the best moments of Haggerty during the match:

'The General' landed a left hook to the body and head before unleashing a one-two combination to his head that ended the sequence. It was only an excerpt of the incredible performance of Haggerty, as he eventually secured the unanimous decision nod from the judges.

This elite moment of the British superstar received a positive reception from fans, as users @00_yamaneko_00, @wayoflifebonsai, @joe_easy5, and @_prettyboya sent their high praise for him through their comments:

Jonathan Haggerty reveals he wasn't at his best during flyweight stint

In a recent talk with ONE Championship, the London native shared that he wasn't at his prime form when he was competing in the flyweight division and revealed the reason by stating:

"So at flyweight, I was actually, 50 percent of myself. You know, I was tired, depleted. I wasn't myself. But it goes to show that staying at the top of the food chain at flyweight with no energy."

Despite this difficulty in cutting weight, he was still able to capture the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion when he defeated Sam-A Gaiyanghadao in May 2019 at ONE: For Honor.

Haggerty will now defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against Superlek Kiatmoo9, the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, in the main event of ONE 168: Denver.

ONE 168: Denver will air live from the Ball Arena during U.S. primetime on Sept. 6. Tickets for the event are available on Ticketmaster.
