Francis Ngannou has opened up about his departure from the UFC. The Cameroonian declined the promotion's contract offer to test free agency and explore other opportunities in combat sports.
Ngannou recently appeared on The MMA Hour, where he discussed in detail what his contract negotiations were like with the UFC and what the future may hold.
'The Predator' claimed that despite seeing Dana White prevaricate about what went down between him and the UFC, he does not hold anything against the promotion:
"Personally, I don't take any of this personal. Any of this doesn't touch me at all. I think I have gotten to a point in my life where I'm cool, man. You know, I get past everything. I have seen a lot." [54:47 - 55:03]

'The Predator' then touched on whether he could return to the UFC in the future. He mentioned that he would never say never, but it would have to be on his terms:
"One thing that I have also learned in life, never say never. So, down the road, maybe. Maybe I go out there and have a boxing match, it goes well or not, I don't know. One thing I know is that even in that situation, it has to be on my terms." [55:10 - 55:28]
It remains to be seen whether the UFC will circle back and re-negotiate with Ngannou. However, the Cameroonian will likely re-sign with them only if they agree to meet at least some of his demands involving insurance and representation for every UFC fighter.

Francis Ngannou isn't upset with Dana White after his press conference
Despite the misleading comments that Dana White made regarding Francis Ngannou's departure from the promotion, the Cameroonian is not upset with the UFC president.
While speaking with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, 'The Predator' mentioned that he wasn't bothered by White's comments. He calmly asserted that the UFC president was just venting his frustration due to losing his reigning heavyweight champion to free agency.
'The Predator' mentioned that words can't hurt him:
"Dana [White] is Dana. I don't care about what he said, and Dana cannot hurt me. Saying things cannot hurt me. From where I come from, I have heard a lot worse than that and yet I'm still here." [20:29 - 20:42]
