Undefeated Turkish fighter Alibeg Rasulov did not waste time proving he is deserving of a world title shot with his dominant victory in his ONE Championship debut over former lightweight MMA world champion Ok Rae Yoon.
The two clashed in the headlining contest at ONE Fight Night 23 on July 6 for the interim lightweight MMA world title. For failing the hydration test, the Dagestani fighter was not eligibile to win the belt as part of his penalty.
It did not stop him, however, from showcasing the talent that made him one of the blue-chip recruits of ONE this year, tagging the South Korean star with telling hits that took a toll on the latter's effectivity as the fight wore on. It included a nasty elbow midway that left Ok badly cut and bloodied, which only solidified his claim to the decision win.
ONE Championship uploaded the masterclass that Rasulov put up in his debut against Ok on its official YouTube channel to drum up interest ahead of his scheduled return to action this week in Thailand.

Alibeg Rasulov now goes for the lightweight gold at ONE Fight Night 26
Deprived of the opportunity to win the interim belt, Alibeg Rasulov goes for the main prize when he challenges returning lightweight MMA world champion Christian Lee in their headlining showdown at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 in Thailand.
The 32-year-old Hyperion Fighters standout looks to realize his world championship dreams in the event happening at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium and airing live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Rasulov will build on his impressive ONE debut performance back in July, where he dominated former lightweight king Ok Rae Yoon on his way to the convincing decision win.
Meanwhile, out to frustrate Alibeg Rasulov at ONE Fight Night 26 and maintain the status quo in the lightweight division with him on top is Lee, who is returning to action after two years on the sidelines to take a self-imposed break to deal with a family tragedy.
The contest will also be his first defense of the world title he reclaimed in August 2022. Apart from the lightweight gold, 'The Warrior' also holds the welterweight championship belt.
