The match started with a feeling-out process with both men gauging each other's distance, but the Myanmar superstar quickly fired a high kick that was blocked by the Okami.
That attack was instantly reciprocated by the Japanese icon with a takedown attempt that was defended well by Aung La, who found himself on top of Okami in full guard.
Knowing Okami was a massive threat down the mat, Aung La pulled out of the guard and invited him up on the feet once more. Then, the 39-year-old perfectly countered Okami's takedown attempt with a solid knee strike that clipped him.
This started a barrage of ground-and-pound strikes that ended the bout at 1:42 of the opening round.
