Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend and ONE Championship heavyweight MMA contender Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida is an icon in every sense of martial arts. The 34-year-old Brazilian star did everything he wanted in BJJ and turned his focus toward mixed martial arts in 2021.
He then made his debut in the world's largest martial arts organization to much fanfare.
'Buchecha' faced countryman 'Braddock' Anderson Silva at ONE: Revolution in September of that year, winning via first-round submission. Almeida showcased solid standup skills, but once the fight hit the ground, 'Buchecha' didn't need much time before tapping out his esteemed adversary.
