FREE FULL FIGHT: BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida unleashes his artistry in sublime submission of Kang Ji Won

Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida was always going to bring a whole new level of grappling prowess to ONE Championship once he signed with the promotion.

The Brazilian is one of the most decorated and celebrated jiu-jitsu competitors of all-time. Although, he has worked to round out his mixed martial arts game, this will always be his strongest skill set.

He was able to show that in the first four fights of his MMA career where he took out all four opponents with quick finishes.

In his second appearance under the ONE banner, he met dangerous striker Kang Ji Won back in December of 2021.

After taking his opponent down up against the fence early on, Almeida immediately started to look for the back and once he got it, his opponent was in serious danger.

The rear-naked choke wasn't far behind as the Brazilian wrapped up another impressive display, getting the tap and moving on without taking any significant damage in the fight.

The submission skills of Buchecha will get tested in a different way at ONE 169

Where Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida struggled in his first setback at ONE Fight Night 13 was his inability to take the fight to the floor.

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane kept the fight standing where despite a great effort by the Brazilian, he was able to hold the advantage.

This will be tested once again when Almeida returns at ONE 169 on Nov. 8 to face Amir Aliakbari.

With power in his hands and a strong wrestling background to back it up, Aliakbari may try to do the same thing to his opponent that Kane did.

We will see what adjustments Almeida has been able to make before returning to Lumpinee Stadium with the goal of getting right back on track.
