Following his world title defeat at the hands of Nong-O Hama in March 2022 at ONE: X, Felipe Lobo was pitted against Saemapetch Fairtex for his next match at ONE Fight Night 9 in April 2023.
Due to his previous setback, Lobo came in as the underdog into the match and was expected to fall short against the Thai star. On fight night, however, the Brazilian star scored a massive upset against Saemapetch.
The full fight replay of this see-saw battle was reposted by ONE Championship on YouTube. The caption read:

The fight started off with an exciting exchange of strikes, with both fighters bringing out their heavy artillery in the opening round. Then, in the second round, Saemapetch went up another gear and dictated the fight until he caught 'The Demolition Man' with a left hook that dropped him.
Saemapetch tried to finish the fight with a barrage of strikes, but Lobo survived the onslaught to see the third and final round. The Brazilian star's grit and heart paid off, as he engineered a come-from-behind win with a vicious combination that put Saemapetch out cold.

That spectacular win over Saemapetch warranted Lobo's world title shot against Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 19 in February 2024. However, he came up short on his second world championship opportunity.
Now, Lobo is looking to bounce back from that latest setback and get back in the win column, as he takes on Nabil Anane on August 2 in a bantamweight Muay Thai bout as part of the loaded ONE Fight Night 24 card, which will take place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
ONE Fight Night 24 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America on August 2 during U.S. primetime.
