Before taking a self-imposed break two years ago, Christian Lee achieved double world champion status by adding the ONE welterweight MMA gold to the lightweight championship belt already in his possession. He did it by way of a gutsy comeback victory over erstwhile welterweight king Kiamrian Abbasov.
The two met at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November 2022 in Singapore for the vacant welterweight world title. Lee was clipped early in the contest that had him nearly KO'd by Abbasov but rallied back to take the belt in the fourth round by TKO.
'The Warrior' was a picture of determination in his charge-back, tapping on his diverse skills to erase whatever headway his opponent had made. He capped it off with a ferocious ground-and-pound to claim the KO victory.
ONE Championship uploaded the full fight on its official YouTube channel for fight fans to relive ahead of Lee's long-awaited return to action this week.

Following the victory, Christian Lee took a self-imposed break to mourn the untimely passing of his younger sister and fellow ONE fighter Victoria Lee in December 2022.
That break ends on Dec. 6 at ONE Fight Night 26 when he returns to action and defends the lightweight MMA world title against Turkish challenger Alibeg Rasulov in the headlining contest.
ONE Fight Night 26 will take place at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and air live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Christian Lee eager to resume journey at ONE Fight Night 26
Away from competition for over two years, Christian Lee is eager to resume his ONE Championship journey in his title defense at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 in Thailand.
'The Warrior' will defend the lightweight MMA world title he reclaimed in August 2022 at the marquee event, which also marks his first match since November 2022 when he claimed the vacant welterweight gold to become a double world champion.
He shared his thoughts on his long-awaited return in an interview with ONE Championship, saying:
"And, you know, at this point in time, aside from focusing on this fight, I feel ready to fight anybody. I'm just hungry to get back in there and do my job right."
In his return to action, Christian Lee is up against a formidable opponent in Alibeg Rasulov, who is undefeated in 14 professional fights to date and coming off an impressive ONE debut in July with a dominant decision win over former lightweight world champion Ok Rae Yoon.
