Jackie Buntan says her training camp prepared her well for ONE 169
Jackie Buntan said she was confident heading and during her title match at ONE 169 on Nov. 8, believing that her training camp prepared her well for whatwas in store at fight night.
She shared this during the post-fight press conference for the stacked event, highlighting how she already had a fair read of what Anissa Meksen was going to throw at her and prepared for it, saying:
"I felt confident right from the get, right from the start, when I stepped in there. I think after the first round, she was kind of playing it more defensive. I was expecting her to come and surge at me, pressure me, and by the start of the third round, I felt pretty confident being able to do it, everything we've been working on. I felt like I was able to see everything. Nothing really came as a surprise either. So yeah, I was confident the whole time."
Following her title-clinching victory, Buntan said she is looking forward to defending the strawweight kickboxing gold and going after more world titles.
