ONE Championship fans saw Jackie Buntan's megastar potential when she made her promotional debut at ONE: Fists of Fury in February 2021 against Thai standout Nat 'Wondergirl' Jaroonsak.
Kickstarting her ONE tenure with two highlight-reel finishes, 'Wondergirl' looked to keep her momentum going by playing spoiler to Buntan's first foray under the ONE banner.
However, Buntan flaunted her striking excellence throughout all three rounds and secured a unanimous decision victory.

After Buntan emerged victorious in her next two fights, she fought Swedish prodigy Smilla Sundell over the inaugural ONE women's strawweight Muay Thai world championship in April 2022.
Though Buntan lost, the Filipino-American standout bounced back by winning her next three fights, featuring a superb outing against Martine Michieletto this past March.
The 27-year-old's next bout will see her go toe-to-toe with French-Algerian great Anissa Meksen over the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world championship at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Part of Jackie Buntan's sustained success in ONE is her commitment to improvement, which she hopes will lead to her first ONE world championship.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, the Boxing Works product said:
"What I'm able to do, I'm able to process that quickly and change it in the middle of the fight. But it's kinda like my style, plus a different cadence, a different look that all the fans will see come fight night."
