Muay Thai wunderkind Johan Ghazali delivered a spectacular return to the win column with a last-second knockout of Mexican slugger Josue Cruz at ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6.
Though he has a penchant for getting into firefights, 'Jojo' showcased a more patient side by allowing Cruz to be the aggressor early on. It worked to perfection as the 17-year-old found an opening to land his patented lead left hook for the knockout win late in round one.

In his previous outing this past June, the Rentap Muay Thai Gym star's five-fight winning streak to start his ONE tenure came to an end at the hands of five-time Muay Thai world champion Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, who dictated the pace of the action en route to the unanimous decision win.
Ghazali also received a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for his ONE 168: Denver showing.
Johan Ghazali nearly withdrew from ONE 168: Denver
Though Johan Ghazali had one of his best performances yet under the ONE banner at ONE 168: Denver, he almost pulled out of the event due to a hand injury.
During the media scrum after his win, Ghazali stated:
"This whole fight camp, I couldn't spar because I broke my hand about four weeks ago. I was very close to calling off the fight, but I just watched one of Josue's fights, and then I thought I didn't need my hands, but it was all good. I was very close to canceling the fight, and I couldn't spar during the whole fight camp, so yeah, that might be a factor of why I got hit as much."
