FREE FULL FIGHT: Marat Grigorian ends rivalry with Sitthichai with a sickening liver blow

Three-time GLORY Kickboxing champion Marat Grigorian will help close out ONE Championship's 2024 with a loaded ONE Friday Fights 92 card inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium.

Grigorian kickstarted his year with a brutal third-round knockout of Thai legend Sitthichai Sitsonpeenong at ONE 165 in Tokyo. Now, he'll look to close it out with a big win when he meets 25-win veteran Abdelali Zahidi this Friday, Dec. 20.

However first, ONE Championship looked back at Grigorian's gut-wrenching (literally) victory over Sitthichai in Tokyo courtesy of the promotion's YouTube channel. The description of the video read:

"Armenian striking great Marat Grigorian and Thai legend Sitthichai continued their storied rivalry with a three-round kickboxing thriller at ONE 165 in Tokyo – presented by Fairtex!"

Grigorian dropped Sitthichai 80 seconds into the third round at ONE 165, folding the Thai against the ropes and bringing an end to their entertaining clash.

Since then, Grirgorian has returned to the ring for an interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world title clash against Superbon at ONE Friday Fights 58.

Marat Grigorian looks to keep his contender status at ONE Friday Fights 92

After coming up short against Superbon at the promotion's 10th-anniversary showcase — ONE X — in March 2022, the two would run it back at ONE Friday Fights 58 in April to crown an interim titleholder for the featherweight kickboxing division.

Unfortunately for Grigorian, the rematch went the way of their inaugural meeting with the Armenian once again coming up short.

Still sitting as the second-ranked contender in the division, Marat Grigorian could put himself in position for another shot at ONE Championship gold in 2025 with a big win over Abdelali Zahidi.

Of course, that'll be easier said than done against 'Black Diamond' who has already established himself as a fierce foe courtesy of his second-round knockout of Tun Min Aung at ONE Friday Fights 88 in November.

ONE Friday Fights 92 will air live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Dec. 20.
