Many expected that Johan Ghazali would have another spectacular victory in his last fight at ONE 167 against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat. But on June 7 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, Nguyen had other plans in mind and momentarily delayed the teenage phenom's full ascent.
The Vietnamese veteran schooled Ghazali during their flyweight Muay Thai fight and took the win via unanimous decision.
The full fight of the entertaining match was recently posted by ONE Championship on YouTube. The description of the video reads:
"17-year-old Muay Thai phenom Johan Ghazali faced his toughest test yet in ONE when he took on Vietnamese striking superstar Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat at ONE 167!"

Nguyen successfully neutralized Ghazali's constant forward pressure by using his fantastic counterattack skills and peppering him with crisp combinations with strikes on the head and body.
The former five-time WMF Muay Thai champion maximized his wealth of experience against 'Jojo' to come out as the victor after three rounds of battle, as he picked up the unanimous decision victory.
Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat returned to the win column and collected his third win in ONE Championship
It was a successful bounce-back win for Nguyen after he suffered a devastating second-round loss to Denis Puric in December 2023 at ONE Fight Night 17. That defeat to 'The Bosnian Menace' marked his first setback in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Furthermore, the 2009 Asian Indoor Games gold medalist has secured his third victory under the ONE Championship banner since making his promotional debut in September 2019. The 35-year-old's two other wins were against Azwan Che Wil (third-round knockout at ONE: Immortal Triumph) and Yuta Watanabe (second-round knockout at ONE: Edge of Greatness).
