This phase and volume continued for Eersel in the second round, when he appeared to be cruising into a comfortable and dominant victory over Sinsamut. However, the Venum Training Camp representative didn't go down without a fight, turning up the heat in rounds three and four to make the bout more exciting and intriguing.
Eersel banked on his championship experience in the fifth and deciding round, went on another gear to secure the victory, and earned the close split decision nod to become a two-sport lightweight world champion.
