ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion and former ONE lightweight kickboxing king Regian Eersel's ONE Championship tenure features a stunning beatdown of Dutch legend Nieky Holzken at ONE: Dawn of Valor in October 2019.
'The Immortal', who defeated Holzken in May of that year for the inaugural ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship, sought to end their five-round world title rematch early by swarming the renowned veteran.
Eersel's absolute control of the fight and well-timed power shots had the judges awarding him the unanimous decision to successfully defend the 170-pound kickboxing crown.

Eersel won his next six bouts to extend his winning streak under the ONE banner to 10. That run includes him capturing the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship over Sinsamut Klinmee in October 2022.
However, Alexis Nicolas shockingly dethroned Eersel at ONE Fight Night 21 this past April to become the new ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion.
Regian Eersel, who still reigns as the 170-pound Muay Thai king, will rematch 'Barboza' for 26 pounds of lightweight kickboxing gold at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Alexis Nicolas fully prepared for Regian Eersel redo
French star Alexis Nicolas has no plans of letting Regian Eersel reclaim the ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship at ONE Fight Night 25 on Oct. 4 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In a video posted by Phuket Fight Club on YouTube, Nicolas said:
"I've set everything up for this fight camp to ensure the preparation for the next fight goes smoothly. Leo and Gabriel are handling the boxing, which is great. I'm managing the tactics and strategy."
