Senegalese heavyweight mixed martial arts sensation Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane punched his ticket to a world title shot when he took out Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida.
The two met at ONE Fight Night 13 on Prime Video in Aug. 2023 in a pivotal showdown for the heavyweight MMA pole position.
'Reug Reug' turned in an epic performance in the ONE Championship ring, beating 'Buchecha' both on the feet and on the ground. It was shockingly one-sided, as Almeida tried his best to thwart Kane's advances.
In the end, 'Reug Reug' proved much too capable and cruised to a unanimous decision win on the judges' scorecards.
