ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon gave United Kingdom standout Jacob Smith a rude welcome to ONE Championship at ONE 157 in May 2022.
Matching up in the quarterfinal of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix, 'The Iron Man' wasted no time enforcing his will on Smith. He battered the promotional newcomer throughout all three rounds to emerge with the unanimous decision victory.

Rodtang's enthralling display of striking mastery propelled him to his 11th straight victory under Muay Thai and kickboxing rules in ONE Championship.
He later extended his winning streak to 14 with an electrifying knockout of Edgar Tabares in defense of the 135-pound Muay Thai crown in May 2023 at ONE Fight Night 10.
Meanwhile, in December of that year, the Bad Company and Thaifist product bounced back by knocking out Walter Goncalves at ONE Fight Night 17.
Rodtang will rematch Smith at ONE 169: Atlanta on Nov. 8 inside the State Farm Arena, with the Thai star defending the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship.

Jacob Smith believes he and his team have formulated the ideal strategy to win the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship from Rodtang at ONE 169: Atlanta.
Speaking exclusively with Sportskeeda MMA, the third-ranked ONE flyweight Muay Thai contender stated:
"I think he did feel my power [the first time] and I got into some positions to make sure he feels my power. But, I'll be able to do it better this time. I'm better equipped, I'm a lot better."
