Fans were stoked to see an unlikely matchup between Stamp Fairtex and ‘Supergirl’ go the distance at ONE Fight Night 6: Superbon vs. Allazov.
Up-and-coming teenage superstar ‘Supergirl’ Anna Jaroonsak said “yes” to the biggest challenge of her career after her original kickboxing rematch against Ekaterina Vanderyeva fell through. Likewise, Stamp Fairtex didn’t have an opponent. Her rival, Anissa Meksen, failed to show up at the weigh-ins for their anticipated special-rules bout.
Fortunately for the fans, the two Thai superstars agreed to fight at catchweight under the kickboxing ruleset. From the onset, Stamp had a size and weight disadvantage. However, considering her experience as a former ONE kickboxing world champion, there was no doubt Stamp would be able to hold her own against a heavier opponent.
After everything was settled, both women touched gloves and then the action began. Jaroonsak couldn’t have fought a smarter fight than she did that night. Her game plan was to close the distance and bully Stamp with a flurry of punches, which landed right from the onset. Stamp loved the intensity and responded back with some of her own striking combinations.

The two women would continue exchanging powerful shots throughout the second and third rounds. While many believed Jaroonsak’s volume in all three rounds was enough to sway the judges for a decision, two believed Stamp nailed the victory, securing her a razor-close split decision.
However, despite the outcome, both women returned home $50,000 richer for their courageous performances.

Stamp Fairtex has lost all motivation to take on Anissa Meksen again in the future
Prior to the event mentioned above, Stamp Fairtex and Anissa Meksen had verbally agreed upon an interim kickboxing world title match. But after the dramatic events that took place, Stamp isn’t sure she wants to go ahead with her agreement.
Speaking at the post-fight interviews, the 25-year-old phenom said:
“I am not really looking forward to fighting Anissa because I consider this unprofessional. I spent a lot of time looking for a new opponent in this event, so I don’t really look forward to that again.”
Meksen continues to appeal for a shot at the kickboxing world title. She explained to her fans that it was a family emergency that prevented her from fighting
So, until both Stamp and Meksen come to terms, fans might not see this fight happen.
