When Regian Eersel defeated Sinsamut Klinmee in their first fight in October 2022 at ONE on Prime Video 3, many fans raised their eyebrow and questioned his reign as the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion, as the fight could have gone either way with a split decision result.
But Eersel erased that doubt with an impeccable performance in their rematch in March 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 9 with a more decisive finish.
ONE Championship published the full fight replay of that match on their official YouTube channel and wrote the video's description with:
"Two-sport ONE World Champion Regian Eersel ended his intense rivalry with Thai striking sensation Sinsamut and defended his lightweight Muay Thai crown with an intense body shot knockout in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 9!"

Much like their first fight, both Eersel and Sinsamut brought their A-game and went back and forth in the first three rounds to keep the fight exciting.
But in the fourth round, 'The Immortal' proved that he was on a different level against other contenders and targeted his opponent's body with a vicious left kick which he quickly followed with an atomic left hook to suck all the air out of Sinsamut.
The power from these blows was too much for him to handle, and he failed to beat the eight-count from the referee, awarding the fourth-round knockout victory for Eersel.
Regian Eersel says that he is satisfied with his preparation for his world title rematch against Alexis Nicolas at ONE Fight Night 25
Ahead of his rematch against former tormentor Alexis Nicolas on Oct. 4 at ONE Fight Night 25, Eersel said he is happy with his preparation but pointed out that the pressure to win is much higher.
The Sityodtong Amsterdam representative shared this in his recent interview with MMA UK, where he stated:
"My camp is going well. Everything's on schedule. [It's a] heavy camp for my body as well as for my mind, of course, but yeah, it's a rematch. So you know the pressure to win is even higher than defending my belt but it's going well. I'm satisfied."
ONE Fight Night 25 will air live to all Prime Video subscribers in North America on Oct. 4 during U.S. primetime.
