During Nong-O Hama's dominant reign as the undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion from 2019 to 2023, he proved that he was on a different level as he destroyed every challenger that the promotion pitted against him.
Among the contenders he obliterated was fellow Thai Saemapetch Fairtex, who challenged Nong-O in November 2019 at ONE: Edge of Greatness. The full fight replay of this clash was recently reposted by the promotion, and they wrote the video's description with:
"Former longtime bantamweight Muay Thai Nong-O is set to face off with formidable Russian fighter Kiamran Nabati at ONE Friday Fights 81 on September 27! Before that heated clash goes down, look back at his intense World Title defense against fellow Thai superstar Saemapetch at ONE: EDGE OF GREATNESS in 2019!"

When the match started, Nong-O was able to pressure Saemapetch as he moved forward with his relentless attack of kicks and punches. The challenger had no answer to the quick and solid strikes from the defending champion.
It was the same story in the second frame; the only difference is that Nong-O dropped Saemapetch in the last minute of the round with an uppercut that flattened his face on the canvas. Fortunately, he was saved by the bell and survived to see the next round.
That knockdown served as a wake-up call for Saemapetch to be more aggressive. He was more assertive in the third round, marching forward and matching Nong-O's attack, resulting in a more exciting back-and-forth.
With both fighters finding their groove, the fourth round became a firefight, and they let go of their hands. This resulted in a fourth-round knockout finish for Nong-O, who uncorked an atomic right-hand punch straight to Saemapetch's chin to knock him out cold.
Nong-O aims to quickly finish his fight with Kiamran Nabati at ONE Friday Fights 81
After his bounce-back win over Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in April 2024 at ONE Friday Fights 58, the Evolve MMA representative is now ready to face surging contender Kiamran Nabati on Sept. 27 as part of the loaded ONE Friday Fights 81 card, which will take place at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ahead of that clash, Nong-O spoke with ONE Championship, and he shared that if given the opportunity, he would like to have a quick day at the office and end the fight immediately, as he stated:
"I don't know how it will end, but if I have the chance, I want to try to end it quickly."
