As expected, it was another classic fight between 'The Kicking Machine' and 'The Angel Warrior', with both landing significant strikes throughout the three-round battle.
But the volume of strikes and more accurate kicks of the Kiatmoo9 Gym man persuaded the judges to give him the close split decision victory. Aside from the damage he inflicted against his rival, the pound-for-pound great also displayed a solid defensive game, evading several of his rival's significant strikes.
This victory was the Thai superstar's seventh triumph in the world's largest martial arts organization and trimmed the lead of Panpayak in their head-to-head score.
