The Thai superstar banked on his kicks early in the match, using several front and leg kicks to keep Vitez at bay.

Vitez tried to close the distance by marching forward and initiating a battle in the clinch, but Panpayak met him with counterpunches and thunderous knee strikes.

In the second frame, the MFC Noia and Sityodtong-affiliated athlete had more urgency and applied more pressure against the Jitmuangnon Gym representative in an effort to equalize the match.

However, Panpayak wisely weathered Vitez's barrage with sweeps and more front kicks.

In the third and final round, the two engaged in more clinch battles and 'Hitman' tried to make up for the early lead that 'The Angel Warrior' built, but the full three minutes wasn't enough to pull off the victory as the judges gave Panpayak the unanimous decision nod.

Panpayak clears the air on the reason why he was out of action for an extended period

Before he fought Vitez, Panpayak has revealed the reason for his long layoff from the art of eight limbs through an interview with ONE Championship.

According to him, he wanted to let his body rest and recapture that fire inside him as he explained:

"The main reason I decided to stop fighting was because I felt burned out and had no motivation anymore. I felt that I had been using my body for a long time, so I wanted to take a break and do something else."
