Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon dominated British striker Jacob Smith in their rematch last week in Thailand. He did it while striking a balance in his aggression which still proved to be potent.
'The Iron Man' was a winner by unanimous decision over Smith in their co-headlining match at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Nov. 8 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Before the match, Rodtang was stripped of the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title he was initially set to defend after missing weight during the official weigh-ins. But despite that, the Jitmuangnon Gym standout kept his emotions relatively under control, allowing him to steadily tear down his opponent on his way to the dominant win.
The Thai sensation pressured Smith right from the get-go, gaining early headway in his attack. He hugely swung the tide in his favor after he busted open his opponent's right eye in the third round with his vaunted elbow strikes.

It was all downhill for Smith from there as his injured eye made it even tougher to battle Rodtang on equal footing.
ONE Championship highlighted the calculated aggression that the former flyweight Muay Thai king showed at ONE 169 by uploading on its official YouTube channel highlights of the contest.

Rodtang eyes showdown with Japanese legend Takeru next
Following his impressive victory at ONE 169 on Nov. 8, Rodtang shared that it was time for him to finally face off with Japanese legend Takeru Segawa. It was further enhanced after the two had another staredown inside the ring at the conclusion of his rematch with Jacob Smith.
The Thai powerhouse spoke about a possible showdown with 'The Natural Born Crusher' during the post-fight press conference for ONE 169, saying:
"I almost [got into] another match right there in the ring. And I think that it's time now that I have to face Takeru. And I hope that this is the fight that everybody has been expecting. And hopefully, Khun Chatri will give me this fight soon."
The showdown between the top-notch strikers was already being planned once Takeru joined ONE Championship last year. They were supposed to meet in Japan back in January but it had to be scrapped as Rodtang recovered from an injury.
