Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Russian powerhouse Tagir Khalilov figured in a highly competitive kickboxing showdown three years ago, with the former coming away with a hard-earned split decision win.
The venue was ONE: Fists of Fury in February 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in a featured flyweight kickboxing showdown. It marked the debut of the 'The Iron Man' in kickboxing under ONE Championship's banner.
It was action-packed throughout the scheduled three-rounder, with both fighters letting it rip with their strikes. They had their respective shining moments, but in the end, it was Rodtang's hand which was raised in triumph.
The win stretched the Thai sensation's winning run to nine at that point in ONE, where he debuted in September 2018.

Rodtang, Tagir Khalilov part of stacked ONE 169
Former foes Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Tagir Khalilov are featured at the stacked ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' event on Nov. 8 in Thailand. They are to take on separate opponents in topnotch flyweight Muay Thai matches.
'The Iron Man' will make his sixth defense of the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title. Looking to cut his long reign as divisional king is British challenger Jacob Smith in a rematch of their non-title clash back in 2022, where the Thai superstar won by decision.
Rodtang's last successful defense was in May last year, knocking out Mexican opponent Edgar Tabares. The Jitmuangnon Gym standout has been ONE world champion since August 2019.
Khalilov, meanwhile, will battle Thai Kongthoranee Sor Sommai. Both are looking for a bounce-back win after losing in their previous matches.
ONE 169 will take place at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok and air live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
