Alex Pereira shares his plans for a potential return to the octagon

Alex Pereira has showcased an impressive activity rate with three championship fights in just one year and is now planning a break before his next bout.

Pereira shared his plans during a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, alongside his coach Plinio Cruz, where they discussed a potential return to the octagon. While Pereira originally hoped to fight in December, the busy schedule has prompted him to consider March as a more realistic timeline.

Cruz explained that although Pereira would ideally prefer a June fight, the short turnaround between his recent bouts and the numerous promotional obligations have made a March comeback more feasible.

"Ideally, he [Pereira] would fight around June, it would be ideal, but he would maybe like to fight around March, even. But honestly, say, if it were up to him, he'll fight in December right now. But the problem is these two fights happened too soon, and we had a lot of appearances, a lot of trips, a lot of business to do. And we had to push them for after these two fights because they were scheduled for before. The guys who organized it understood, but we have some obligations to do so he feels that around March is a good date."
