Dricus du Plessis has taken a swing at the recent trend of professional fighters sparring with social media influencers by taking on Clean Cut Skolly ahead of his middleweight title defense at UFC 305. The South African phenom was featured in a YouTube video shared by the influencer which showed their brief scrap.
In less than 30 seconds, du Plessis folded his sparring partner with an uppercut to the body, dropping him. It was an expected outcome, given that 'Stillknocks' is not only a professional mixed martial artist, but a UFC fighter and the promotion's reigning middleweight champion.

While the video was somewhat humorous, du Plessis is undoubtedly training harder than he ever has ahead of the most important fight of his life. He and Adesanya are currently embroiled in a feud, with both men feeling animosity toward each other. Moreover, Adesanya is the biggest star he has ever faced.
He will look to define his young middleweight title reign by defending it for the first time against one of the division's all-time greats.
Dricus du Plessis isn't the only UFC middleweight to spar with social media influencers
While Dricus du Plessis' training session with Clean Cut Skolly is the most recent video of its kind, other UFC fighters have sparred with social media influencers. Unbeaten Chechen middleweight Khamzat Chimaev recently sparred Russian YouTuber, Mikhail Litvin.

Ex-middleweight champion Sean Strickland previously sparred with Sneako, a streamer. Before all of them, one-time middleweight title challenger Paulo Costa famously sparred with YouTuber-turned-WWE Superstar Logan Paul.
