Sean O'Malley recently revealed his willingness to fight Henry Cejudo for the interim title as soon as possible.

Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is rumored to defend his title belt against former division champ Henry Cejudo. However, through a recent video, 'Funk Master' has confirmed that he has suffered a torn bicep, and hence his fight with 'Triple C' has been kept to a halt. Sean O'Malley, who recently beat up Petr Yan to climb to the top spot in the division, quickly called out the promotion and urged for a matchup against the former double champ, which the UFC is yet to address.

Appearing in a recent video on his BrOMalleyShow podcast, the no.1 ranked contender looked quite "frustrated" over the uncertainty of the entire situation around the title fight. 'Sugar' once again called out the UFC for booking him against Cejudo for the UFC 285 fight card:

"Perfect, me vs. Henry [Cejudo] for the interim belt right under there [in the UFC 285 fight card]. Tell me that ain't fire?"

He continued:

"I texted Hunter, texted Sean Shelby... I said Will you at least time an idea or at least say yes or no, is Henry vs. Aljo happening? they just don't know. I don't know if Henry or Aljo... they are kind of waiting to see if he [Aljamain Sterling ] can or what. But I'm frustrated... but I'm okay because I'm just training , you know what I mean."

Sean O'Malley is greatly influenced by the 'work ethics' of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather

Sitting alongside his coach in a recent episode of his TimboSugarShow podcast, Sean O'Malley discussed the exemplary career of now retired boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Speaking of the legendary boxer, 'Sugar' claimed to draw a lot of inspiration from the athlete's work ethic. The bantamweight also wishes to matchup with 'Money's' unbeaten record sometime in the future:

Dude, it's so f**king sweet. 50-0, retired at the top, didn't lose. It's inspirational. I'm trying to be 50-0. "Didn't get knocked out. Had some hard fights. Fought the best guys. Just his work ethic. You don't get 50-0, you don't become Floyd without a crazy work ethic. It's constantly running, hitting the bag, hitting mitts, but it's like that motherf**ker had chicks around him all day when he wasn't so he found balance. He has some serious genes, some serious athletic genes."
