Get caught up on all the highlights from ONE Fight Night 8

ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video delivered another great night of action, this time from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

On March 24, a world championship was defended, two world titles were unified, future world title contenders solidified themselves, and most importantly, ONE Championship continued to produce fantastic martial arts contests.

The video opens with the main event, where ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 defended his world title for the first time by stopping Danial Williams.

His late-notice opponent was outmatched throughout the contest, with a head kick in the third round spelling the beginning of the end for ‘Mini T’.

In the second highlight of the video, Eddie Abasolo landed a picture-perfect right hand against Niclas Larsen, which he couldn’t continue from.

With a finish inside the first 45 seconds of the fight, Akbar Abdullaev earned a performance bonus from ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong with his TKO over Oh Ho Taek. China’s Zhang Peimian also earned a bonus for his dominant decision win against Torepchi Dongak.

The majority of the video is taken up by the two women’s fights at the top of the card. Whilst the fight didn’t live up to expectations, the atomweight clash between Ham Seo Hee and Itsuki Hirata did produce some great sequences.

In the co-main event of the evening, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues returned from a three-year break from competition to secure the status of undisputed ONE atomweight Muay Thai world champion against Janet Todd, landing a slicing elbow in the third round to change the momentum of the fight in her favor.
