MMA fans recently voiced their opinions on learning about Renato Moicano's impressive UFC 311 payout despite losing to Islam Makhachev. Moicano came clean on this issue in the latest episode of his podcast.

Moicano was initially scheduled to take on Beneil Dariush in a main-card encounter at UFC 311.

However, Arman Tsarukyan's pullout from the UFC 311 main event against Makhachev presented an opportunity for Moicano to fill in as his replacement, which he accepted wholeheartedly. Moicano couldn't showcase much resilience during the encounter. His Dagestani rival finished him with a D'Arce choke in the first round of the encounter.

However, a recent X update from @ChampRDS said his loss didn't affect his UFC 311 payout. It highlighted 'Money's' words from the latest episode of the Show Me The Money podcast. Moicano mentioned that he made nearly about a million dollars (more than $950,000) from the Jan. 18-based encounter.

"Get choked = Easy Money!"

Others mentioned:

"Only fair, he and Islam saved the card by stepping up"
"Massive money fight for 30 seconds, shouldn’t be proud of that but it is what it is"
"Damn, that [is] a nice pay day!"

Renato Moicano's UFC 311 earnings reportedly surpassed Islam Makhachev's payout

Renato Moicano mentioned that he earned an amount more than nine bitcoins from his UFC 311 encounter. However, several reports say that Islam Makhachev made considerably less money than Moicano from the UFC 311 main event.

While Moicano looked pretty happy about making more than $950,000 from the fight, reports say that Makhachev made about $250,000 despite being a UFC champion and winning the encounter. However, Makhachev's earnings are expected to rise significantly with the addition of his share from the PPV amount.
