Top-ranked ONE strawweight MMA competitor Jarred Brooks will face Gustavo Balart in the main event of ONE Fight Night 24 on August 2 over the ONE interim strawweight MMA world championship inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

In what many expect to be an action-packed chess match between two world-class wrestlers, 'The Monkey God' shared his commitment to winning the bout via Instagram which can be seen below.

Hopeful for his opportunity to become the ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion, Brooks' fans gave him encouraging words in the comments section which can be read below:

The Mash Fight Team product dethroned Filipino hero Joshua Pacio in December 2022 to become the ONE strawweight MMA world champion and their rematch this past March had fans buzzing.

However, Brooks lost the division's top prize back to Pacio via disqualification after an unfortunate takedown attempt spiked 'The Passion' on his head.

With the 4-foot-11 'El Gladiador' facing a significant height disadvantage against the 5-foot-2 Jarred Brooks, the American star is prepared to leverage it into an interim title-winning performance.

Speaking to the Philippines-based news outlet ABS-CBN, Brooks stated:

"I'm gonna get him in the corner, and I'm gonna bully him, and I'm gonna make him feel like the younger brother, even though he's older than me."
