Earlier today, Dillon Danis revealed his interest in taking on Mike Perry at UFC 300 in a social media post, and sure enough, 'Platinum' accepted 'El Jefe's' callout by reposting the fantasy matchup on his Instagram story.

However, after his lackluster boxing outing against Logan Paul in 2023, the former Bellator star has fallen out of favor with fight fans. So, it comes as little surprise that fans are not crazy about the potential matchup.

Suffice it to say netizens had a field day with the call-out, basting 'El Jefe' on social media. Check out a few reactions below.

"Danis wouldn’t show up."

@RymoPlayz said:

"I'm sure Dillon will get confused and try to box instead. I mean, he did think MMA was allowed in a boxing match."

When Mike Perry voiced his disappointment with Dillon Danis

Logan Paul had Mike Perry in place as the official backup for his boxing match against Dillon Danis, given 'El Jefe's' penchant for pulling out of fights at the last moment.

However, the jiu-jitsu star ultimately faced 'The Maverick', in one of the more confusing bouts of the year. Per Sports Illustrated, 'El Jefe' only threw 16 punches in the entire fight before getting himself disqualified following a guillotine choke attempt on his opponent in the final round.

Speaking to Boxing Social about Danis' lackluster showing, Mike Perry said:

"He should've let me fight. He threw like 10 punches the whole fight... At least he went out there, I guess, and he stayed standing."
