Episode #2257 of The Joe Rogan Experience saw the popular podcaster welcome close friend and frequent guest Bryan Callen. The pair discussed the fires raging through Los Angeles County, and the mismanagement of the whole ordeal that has reportedly led to various complications.
As Callen criticized the issues within the Los Angeles fire department's management of the wildfire, Rogan cracked jokes before using his humor as a means of expressing outrage over the jaw-dropping salary earned by the department official tasked with filling fire hydrants with water.
He said:
"I won't sit here while you disparage the great people that are running Los Angeles. Did you see the lady who's responsible for filling the fire hydrants gets paid $750,000 a year? That's a lot of money. That's sitcom money. That's like, 'I'm the star of a sitcom.' Not star, but you're like the third person on the sitcom."

"So, I was talking to this guy and he was telling me, he goes, 'Dude. One day, it's just going to be the right wind and the fire's going to start in the right place, it's gonna burn through LA all the way to the ocean, and there's not a f***ing thing we can do about it.'"
