UFC women's flyweight contender Veronica Hardy recently shared her thoughts on the verbal altercation between Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira at the UFC Performance Institute.

A few weeks ago, Hill confronted Pereira at the UFC PI, and their exchange escalated to the point where 'Poatan' threw gloves at Hill and challenged him to fight. However, Hill declined to engage, leading to considerable backlash from fans on social media for seemingly backing out of a confrontation that he initiated.

In the recent episode of 'The Outlawed Picks Podcast', Hardy expressed her belief that Hill's actions might have been a strategic move to get a title fight rematch against Pereira, rather than an attempt to provoke a physical confrontation at the Performance Institute. She commented:

"It's kind of a move because Jamahal Hill wants to get paid massive money to fight. Why would you fight for free? I wouldn't fight for free. If somebody picked a fight with me, I would run, you know. Getting hit hurts."

Hardy added:

"It's a little bit like a bluff game because you, kind of, call the person... I'm not saying that Pereira wouldn't have stepped in there. But Pereira probably knew that, logically, Jamahal Hill wants to fight for money. So it's, like, obvious. Like, I'm saying, 'I want to fight for the belt. I don't want to fight you. Because you're, whatever.' I don't care about you."

Michael Bisping shares his thoughts on Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira's verbal altercation

The video of Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira's confrontation went viral on social media, generating strong reactions from fight fans. Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping shared his perspective on the situation in a YouTube video. Bisping examined arguments from both Hill and the fans, stating:

"Pereira threw the gloves at him and Jamahal was like, ‘What are you talking about? I’m not going to fight you here in the gym, I’m going to fight you and get paid for that. Now, a lot of people’s opinions on social media was that Jamahal kind of b****ed out, but I’ll be honest, I kind of agreed with his take. Why would you want to fight in the gym when you can get paid a ridiculous amount of money to fight for real?"
