MMA icon Aung La N Sang recently revealed what his life would look like once he's ready to retire from MMA. The former two-division world champion is approaching his twentieth MMA bout under the ONE banner this September at ONE 168: Denver, with the sole purpose of reclaiming the ONE middleweight world title.

To achieve his goal, he must first surpass undefeated phenom Shamil Erdogan to deserve the possible title shot, after having pocketed three straight finishes.

Aung La has had a career resurgence since losing the middleweight and light heavyweight belts to Reinier De Ridder. His determination to get back on top just says a lot about who Aung La is.

Instead, he has refocused his energy on leveling up as a martial artist as well as planning for the future before he decides to hang up the gloves. Speaking to the South China Morning Post, 'The Burmese Python' said:

"He fought a broken Fan Rong" - Aung La N Sang explains why Shamil Erdogan's last KO victory was not as impressive as many think

Aung La N Sang doesn't negate the fact that Shamil Erdogan is a dangerous opponent, but not as dangerous as the fans might think.

The Myanmar icon has done his homework in preparation for his ONE 168 bout with Erdogan. While he admits that the Turkish grappler displays tact and precision during his fights, it's nothing that Aung La hasn't faced before.

Downplaying Erdogan's last victory against China's Fan Rong, Aung La told The AllStar, saying:

"He fought Fan Rong six weeks after I fought him, and I guarantee you if you fight me, it's not the same as, you know, when he fought a broken Fan Rong."
