Former two-division ONE world champion Aung La N Sang put on an excellent showing at ONE Fight Night last weekend. Coming off a TKO win over Yushin Okami at ONE 163 just two months prior, 'The Burmese Python' made short work of Brazilian behemoth Gilberto Galvão.

In his post-fight media scrum, the often insightful and wise Aung La N Sang spoke about what's most important to him at this point in his career:

"Of course, winning the world title is one of the hardest things but for me, it's like, family. Being good with God, that's important. And just being a good team player and a good teammate. That to me is very important, and being a good friend. So all those achievements amount to nothing if you're not a good father, if you're not a good husband, if you're not a good friend, they don't amount to anything if you're always taking and taking. So for me, giving back is very important too."

Aung La is considered one of the humblest and most kind-hearted fighters today. He's not living as a pro fighter - he lives to be a martial artist. With this philosophy, he aims to set a good example for his children, friends, teammates, and fans.

Aung La N Sang obliterates Gilberto Galvão at ONE Fight Night 6

'The Burmese Python' Aung La N Sang returned to the circle to start his year strong by facing the gargantuan submission specialist Gilberto Galvão at ONE Fight Night 6. From the opening bell, Galvão moved in to score a takedown, but the Burmese MMA legend landed heavy leather early, putting the Brazilian on his back.

Aung La invited Galvão back to his feet but the Brazilian grappling specialist immediately went back to the takedown. With both men clinching against the fence, Aung La busts Galvão's nose wide open and sends him crashing to the ground with his face turning into a crimson mask. Aung La then rained down a barrage of thunderous strikes on the ground to force Galvão to turtle and cover up.

With Galvão unable to intelligently defend himself or improve his position, referee Herb Dean stopped the bout at 1:29 in the first round. With this win, Aung La N Sang has put together back-to-back knockout wins inside the circle. Another victory of this nature and he might be in the world title conversation again.
