Marlon Vera immediately hit back at Henry Cejudo after 'Triple C' claimed that he could easily beat 'Chito' and Sean O'Malley. 'Sugar' recently called for an interim title fight against Vera if Aljamain Sterling wants to sit on the sidelines for a while.

Cejudo went off on a Twitter rant, dismissing O'Malley's controversial split decision win over Petr Yan. He went on to claim that he can beat both O'Malley and Vera even while being injured. 'Chito' did not try to sugarcoat anything in his response to Cejudo:

"Henry go suck a d**k you fat little s**t"

Henry Cejudo's name was abruptly thrown into the bantamweight title mix by UFC President Dana White after UFC 280. While 'Triple C' has been linked to a potential UFC 284 title clash against Aljamain Sterling, 'Funk Master' recently dismissed the rumors and specified that he wouldn't be returning before mid-2023.

Cejudo then shifted focus and called for an interim title fight against O'Malley, which was also snubbed. 'Triple C's is seemingly trying to get back in the mix as 'Sugar' rallies for an interim clash against Marlon Vera.

Sean O'Malley doesn't want to fight Marlon Vera if he doesn't get PPV shares

Sean O'Malley and Marlon Vera are arguably the two biggest draws on the UFC bantamweight roster right now. A fight between the two also makes sense due to their history. O'Malley suffered the only loss of his pro career against Vera back in 2020 but remains dismissive of it even today.

While 'Sugar' has called for an interim clash against Vera, he is specific about the terms. The bantamweight superstar isn't keen on fighting 'Chito' if he is not given a share of the PVV buys. O'Malley said on his YouTube channel:

"Me vs. ‘Chito’ for an interim belt, people would take that. But also, me vs. ‘Chito’, interim title, main event, PPV, does however many buys, and me and ‘Chito’ technically don’t get PPV buys, I’d rather not do that. I’d rather say, ‘No, I’ll just wait.’ Again, I’ve got to talk to the UFC. We’ll see.”

While defending champions are typically given a share of UFC PPV earnings, there are no strict rules regarding the same. Both Anderson Silva and Nick Diaz were given PPV shares for their UFC 183 clash back in 2015, even though neither was a defending champion.
