Australian MMA fighter Reece McLaren started his ONE Championship journey competing in bantamweight before settling in the flyweight lane. He, however, said he is open to doing matches in the 145-pound division again down the line.
He shared this in an interview with the Bangkok Post ahead of his return to action this week in Thailand, recalling how he had fun during his early days in ONE battling the top bantamweights in the promotion.
'Lightning' said:
"I'd love to go up. I think going up would be fun. I'd be able to eat, be fully fueled and charging."

Check out what he had to say below:
Reece McLaren had his first four fights in ONE at bantamweight, going 2-2. He even vied for the division's title against then world champion Bibiano Fernandes in December 2016 but narrowly lost by split decision.
His last fight in bantamweight was against former divisional king Kevin Belingon in August 2017, where he lost by KO in the opening round.
Reece McLaren goes for back-to-back wins in flyweight at ONE Fight Night 26
While he is open to competing in bantamweight again, Reece McLaren's focus at the moment remains in flyweight, where he is looking to win back-to-back matches at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 in Thailand.
He is going up against interim strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks in a featured three-rounder, part of the event happening at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok and airing live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
McLaren enters the contest off a split decision win over Hu Yong of China in his last match in May. Brooks, meanwhile, was last in action in August, where he claimed the interim strawweight MMA world title with a first-round submission of Cuban Gustavo Balart.
Both fighters are gunning for a big win at ONE Fight Night 26 which should set them up for a shot at the currently vacant ONE flyweight world title.
