Kade Ruotolo believes that fans will see more of the same from him in his second MMA fight at ONE 169. The ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion made his successful debut earlier this year at ONE 167.

In his first MMA bout against Blake Cooper, the fight started as a striking contest. But once Kade decided to flip the script, he started to implement his grappling and quickly found the submission win.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, he suggested that this will be the same in his next test where he faces Ahmed Mujtaba on Nov. 8 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fans can expect to see him use his striking before finding the right time to flip the switch in his upcoming lightweight MMA duel, and from there, Mujtaba will be in trouble:

"It's going to be a very similar recipe, you know. That last fight, you know, the finish ended up coming towards the end of the first round. However, I felt like I seen windows to, you know, I felt like off the first exchange to be honest I could have gotten a hold of him and got him down and got the submission."

Kade Ruotolo knows where he's at his best

Kade Ruotolo has been working hard to transition fully into mixed martial arts by working on all aspects of his game.

Despite putting a lot of time into his striking, he admitted that he did feel a little off when standing with Cooper at the Impact Arena.

Fortunately for Kade Ruotolo, he always has his elite level grappling to fall back on and he isn't afraid to play to his strengths when he needs to secure the victory.

We will find out in his second bout against Mujtaba whether he is more confident in his striking or chooses to grapple even earlier in the fight.
