Surging superstar 'Pocket Monk' Keito Yamakita has attracted massive attention on Instagram this week, for his crafty ninja choke submission against former top contender Jeremy Miado.
The Japanese standout has always boasted about his submission skills but never actually put his words into practice, until scoring his first stoppage at ONE 166: Qatar.
ONE Championship praised his nifty submission over Filipino brawler Jeremy Miado on Instagram, with the caption that aptly said:
"Going off the WALLS. Can Keito Yamakita score another submission against Yosuke Saruta on August 2 at ONE Fight Night 24?"

'Pocket Monk' had a promising start in ONE Championship when he defeated former long-reigning world champion Alex Silva last year.
He showed an ability to surpass the most elilte MMA fighters in the division, but unfornately it was cut short by #2-ranked contender Bokang Masunyane back in January.
However, with Miado's victory under his belt, Yamakita wants to remind everyone that he's headed towards MMA supermacy on August 2.
ONE Fight Night 24 will air live in US Primetime, free of charge for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
"I can't wait" - ONE strawweight contender Keito Yamakita anticipates to make a big statement in Thailand's Lumpinee Boxing Stadium
ONE strawweight contender Keito Yamakita hopes to get himself back on track to a world title picture with a second victory next week.
The 'Pocket Monk' caught the attention of ONE Championship with his sensational MMA journey at Road to ONE: Young Guns in Tokyo. In 2023, he brought his 7-0 undefeated streak to ONE Championship, extending it to eight when he defeated Alex Silva by unanimous decision.
But Yosuke Saruta is no less sensational by comparison. The 37-year-old veteran is a former ONE strawweight world champion with a total MMA record of 21-12. Saruta will, therefore, only bring the best out of Yamakita at OFN24.
Excited to fight his fellow countryman on the world stage, Yamakita wrote the caption on Instagram:
"Fight week. I can't wait."
