The lightweight title clash is a highly anticipated rematch as their first encounter took place on short notice and both have significantly improved since then.

Islam Makhachev's coach addresses potential crowd advantage for Arman Tsarukyan in rematch

In addition to fans weighing in on the rumored rematch between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan, the reigning UFC lightweight champion's coach also shared his thoughts on the bout.

During a conversation with Red Corner MMA, Javier Mendez was asked about Tsarukyan possibly having the crowd advantage due to Los Angeles' large Armenian community. The 54-year-old mentioned that he believes Makhachev wouldn't be fazed at all:

"Well, Arman [Tsarukyan] is a great fighter and it is [the] Armenian community there is pretty big but Islam [Makhachev] is pound-for-pound number one... I'm not gonna say [Tsarukyan] is the bigger guy now, Islam is worldwide known now, so Islam is a big star everywhere."
