"You can't hurt a man who doesn’t care to fit in🤫 be that one warrior. Greatness demands everything #valiant1s."
Nico Carrillo has been on a rampage since he made his debut under the ONE Championship banner in 2023.
'King of the North' is a perfect 4-0 in the promotion, with all four of his wins coming by way of knockout.
Carrillo utterly dominated Furkan Karabag, Muangthai PK Saenchai, former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama and Saemapetch Fairtex on his way to his world title challenge against Superlek.
While his dominance has been on full display, Carrillo could still face a different test when he faces 'The Kicking Machine'.
Superlek reigns as the ONE flyweight kickboxing and bantamweight Muay Thai world champion and is often considered one of the greatest strikers of this generation.
The Thai megastar holds an impressive 15-1 record in ONE Championship. He's also the only man to ever beat former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a striking match in the promotion.
Nico Carrillo admits beating Superlek Kiatmoo9 holds as much importance as taking the world title
Nico Carrillo knows he's fighting not just for the world title when he faces Superlek Kiatmoo9 in Bangkok.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Carrillo said a win over the mighty Superlek holds as much merit as taking the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title at ONE 170.
"Thinking about what Superlek, who’s pound-for-pound number one, has never been hurt in his career, never been dropped, never been knocked out, to be able to maybe do that to him - knock him out, win on points, whatever it may be - it’s something bigger than, I hate to say it, the belt. Superlek and the belt, it’s like two big titles in one night, if that makes sense."
