ONE flyweight kickboxing king and newly crowned ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 picked up a new technique during his defense of the 135-pound kickboxing crown against Takeru Segawa at ONE 165 this past January.

'The Natural Born Crusher' stunned Superlek with a lightning-quick kick to the body using the toes, which the Thai hero adopted in his Muay Thai bout with Kongthoranee Sor Sommai this past June en route to the unanimous decision win.

Despite its effectiveness, Superlek did not need to use it when he dethroned ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty via knockout at ONE 168: Denver on September 6 inside the Ball Arena.

Despite losing 26 pounds of Muay Thai gold, Haggerty still reigns as the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion.

Superlek shares how he will use his performance bonus

Superlek will allocate part of the $50,000 performance bonus he received from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong at ONE 168: Denver to invest in his recently established gym, MC Superlek Muay Thai Gym.

During the ONE 168: Denver post-event press conference, Superlek shared:

"I am super happy that I got this bonus. First of all, the money is going to help support my family, my parents, that's how I got here. Also, I recently opened a gym in Thailand, Superelk training gym, and I've got 10 or more young fighters there that I'm ready to support."
