While she was happy to get the win in her last fight, South Korean veteran Ham Seo Hee lamented that it could have been a more entertaining contest for the fans if only her opponent put in a better effort.
'Hamzzang' emerged victorious over Japanese Itsuki Hirata in their featured atomweight clash at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on March 24 in Singapore. She won by unanimous decision.
In an interview with SCMP MMA following her victory, Ham Seo Hee shared that she felt Itsuki Hirata was underwhelming in her performance, rendering the fight uneventful for the most part.
The Team Mad fighter said:

“One person’s effort is just not enough to make it an entertaining match and that’s what I felt.”

A highly anticipated match after being rescheduled from last year after Hirata missed weight and hydration, Ham felt the contest failed to live up to the billing as 'Android 18' did not bring the action expected from her.
Aside for several takedown attempts, Hirata did not provide much offense, even being flagged by the referee a couple of times for inactivity.
Ham Seo Hee would move on to claim a unanimous decision victory and keep her unblemished record intact at 3-0. She is now awaiting word for a possible world title shot.
Ham Seo Hee wants Angela Lee but knows it may be ‘sensitive’ and difficult
After racing to her third straight victory under ONE Championship, South Korean veteran Ham Seo Hee believes she deserves a shot at the world title, which is currently held by long-time champion Angela Lee. But she is fully aware that with the champion currently dealing with a personal tragedy it may be difficult to set.
'Hamzzang' remained unbeaten after defeating Itsuki Hirata of Japan by unanimous decision at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video in Singapore last week. The win over Itsuki Hirata further solidified Ham’s No. 2 contender ranking in the atomweight division and made a case for herself to vie for the title against Lee.
Following her win, Ham Seo Hee reiterated her push to take on Lee in a championship showdown, only if possible:
“It's not Stamp or Alyse, of course. I would definitely wish to challenge Angela Lee, but I understand that may not be a possibility, understanding some of the more sensitive circumstances that have occurred. I haven't really thought of anyone else apart from those three people,” said Ham Seo Hee while alluding to other title contenders Stamp Fairtex and Alyse Anderson.
Lee and her family are still mourning the untimely passing of her sister and fellow ONE fighter, Victoria, last December at the age of 18. ONE Championship is giving the Lees all the time and space as they weave through this difficult time.
