Ham Seo Hee honored that Yoshihiro ‘Sexyama’ Akiyama will watch her fight Circleside

'Hamzzang' Ham Seo Hee is honored to perform in front of combat sports legend 'Sexyama' Yoshihiro Akiyama. The ONE Championship competitor was most recently seen during his stint on the Netflix series Physical 100.

South Korean atomweight Ham Seo Hee enjoyed watching 'Sexyama' on Physical 100. In an interview with SCMP MMA, she said:

"I watched the show. I had a lot of fun watching the show. I just thought to myself, I really do want to age with such grace just like Akiyama did."

South Korea's Ham Seo Hee will next be competing in the ONE circle against Japan's 'Android 18' Itsuki Hirata. The match is booked for March 24th at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video. ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free in North America via Prime Video.

Throughout his storied career, Akiyama has represented both Japan and South Korea. 'Hamzzang' wonders who 'Sexyama' be rooting for in this bout given the nationalities competing:

"It’s very interesting. I hope he has a good time watching this [fight]. There is one Korean fighter and one Japanese fighter fighting in the [Circle] at that same moment. I hope he’s able to show his support for both of us."

Ham Seo Hee was always willing to fight Itsuki Hirata

Itsuki Hirata and Ham Seo Hee were booked months ago but due to a weight miss from 'Android 18' the bout was rescheduled. South Korea's Ham wanted to make it clear that she was always willing to face Hirata just that she needed to make weight and hydration:

“I was open and ready to fight other fighters, but I did want to fight Itsuki Hirata because we were supposed to fight. As long as she got her weight and hydration issues resolved, I was willing to fight, and that’s why I said yes.”

But the bout was moved and now Hirata and Ham will meet at ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24th. It will be a showdown between two top-ranked atomweights in an MMA match.
