Ham Seo Hee has seen it all in her lengthy career, and it’s no wonder that she wants nothing more than to step inside the circle and put on a gripping bout.
The South Korean veteran will face rising star Itsuki Hirata at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, in a match that she feels is getting a better buildup than last time out.
Ham and Hirata were set to face off against each other in late 2022, however, the match fell through after the Japanese judoka missed weight for their meeting.

Now that everything’s settled, both women are heading into the Singapore Indoor Stadium ready to shake up the women’s atomweight rankings.
In an interview with South China Morning Post, Ham Seo Hee said:
“I prepared a lot. I was very disappointed, but I understood that there was nothing that could be done at the moment. So I told myself there’s always going to be a next time and I moved on.”
She added:
“My condition is fine. I’m feeling really good. I actually feel a lot better than how I was feeling the first time.”
Ham Seo Hee is one of the most influential Asian fighters of all time with careers both in the US and in Japan. ‘Hamzzang’ has 25 wins in her career and is a perfect 2-0 in ONE Championship.
The 36-year-old is currently ranked No.2 in the women’s atomweight division and a win over Hirata could push her into a world title shot.
Itsuki Hirata, meanwhile, is one of the best grapplers of her generation and she’s used that high-pressure style to rack up five wins in ONE Championship.
ONE Fight Night 8 will go down this Friday in US primetime and will be broadcast live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
