Korean atomweight fighter Ham Seo Hee is scheduled to face Itsuki Hirata at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video, and she claims her upcoming opponent can't call herself a professional fighter if she's unable to make weight.
The pair were supposed to square off at ONE Championship 163 last November, but Hirata failed the weight cut and hydration test, resulting in the bout being canceled.
Ham Seo Hee is 2-0 inside the circle with both wins coming against Denice Zamboanga. The 35-year-old has been chomping at the bit to share the circle with Hirata, but she doesn't consider Hirata to be a true pro. Ham told ONE:
"First of all, she’s not a fighter in my opinion because the basic thing that you should do as a professional fighter is to make weight and hydration."

Ham Seo Hee says she has unfinished business with Itsuki Hirata
Ham was eager to accept the fight with Hirata as she felt like she had unfinished business with 'Android 18.' She told ONE Championship:
"I wanted to finish my unfinished business with her. So I felt good about [this fight]. There were fans with different opinions about my decision [to not accept the catchweight in] our last fight, so I wanted to finish this fight with her."
Prior to joining ONE in 2021, Ham went 3-0 with a pair of TKO victories while competing in RIZIN. She even attained the Women's Super Atomweight Championship in her final appearance in the promotion.
Before that, she had a four-fight stint in the UFC, where she picked up one victory against Cortney Casey. The Korean athlete has been riding an eight-fight winning streak since leaving the UFC. Ham is currently the No.2-ranked women's atomweight on ONE's roster, only trailing Stamp Fairtex and champion Angela Lee.
Be sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 8 on March 25 to watch Ham Seo Hee take on Itsuki Hirata in a women's atomweight showdown live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
The event streams on Prime Video in US prime time for subscribers in North America.
