Ham Seo Hee is happy to squash her rivalry with Itsuki Hirata following their clash at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video.
After four months of frustration, ‘Hamzzang’ was finally able to put her fiery feud with Hirata to bed after the atomweight standouts squared off last Friday night at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Originally scheduled to meet in November at ONE 163, Itsuki Hirata failed hydration. Rather than giving ‘Android 18’ another pass by accepting a catchweight bout, Ham chose to cancel the contest altogether, a move that caused a significant amount of attention between the two.
Fortunately, Hirata successfully made weight for their ONE Fight Night 8 showdown and the contest went off without a hitch. After 15 minutes of action, Ham Seo Hee saw her hand raised, earning a unanimous decision victory. Following the contest, ‘Hamzzang’ shared relief over the end of their rivalry.
“I'm very happy. I'm not completely happy with the way it panned out, but I am happy that it's over and that I got the victory,” Ham admitted in a post-fight interview.

With her third-straight win in the books, Ham Seo Hee will find herself competing for a ONE world championship the next time she steps into the Circle. ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong recently announced that Ham would get her shot at an interim atomweight world title later this year.
Ham Seo Hee is “very excited” for ONE world title opportunity
With her victory over Itsuki Hirata, Ham Seo Hee earned herself a shot at the promotion’s atomweight world championship. Upon hearing the news from the ONE CEO, ‘Hamzzang’ admitted to getting chills during her post-fight interview on Friday night:
“I was very happy. I got chills when I heard directly from Mr. Chatri Sityodtong. It's the only thing I've wanted since joining this organization, and I'm very excited.”
Sityodtong did not divulge a great deal of information, but he did confirm that Ham would compete for a ONE interim women’s atomweight world title. The promotion’s reigning atomweight queen, Angela Lee, is currently sidelined as she continues to mourn the loss of her younger sister, Victoria Lee, alongside her ONE world champion brother Christian Lee and their legendary family.
Giving Lee all the time she needs, ONE is prepared to introduce an interim title, but the question is, who will stand opposite Ham Seo Hee when the time comes to crown an interim titleholder? The ONE CEO did not provide any details on a potential opponent, but the likeliest scenario is that the winner of Stamp Fairtex vs. Alyse Anderson at ONE Fight Night 10 will square off with Ham for the interim crown later this year.
