For his huge upcoming bout at Lumpinee Stadium on Dec. 6, Petchtanong Petchfergus is only focusing on himself.
The former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion has shown several times that he is one of the very best in his weight class. Though he's been gone for a long time, his win over Alaverdi Ramazanov in June showed that he hasn't lost a step.
He has the self confidence of someone who has already shown how good he is and is carrying that with him into ONE Fight Night 26, where he takes on one of the most exciting rising contenders in all of ONE, Nabil Anane.
This fight is seemingly a big ask for Nabil Anane, who will be making his kickboxing debut against one of the very best following a very impressive winning streak in Muay Thai.

It's for this exact reason that Petchtanong might be slightly overlooking him by clearly stating in a recent interview with ONE Championship that he didn't do any homework because he doesn't believe that it would be necessary for this matchup:
"I didn't study him at all. I thought he should study me instead. Because he doesn't have anything that I have to pay attention to. I just want to go there and do my job."
Petchtanong backs himself in this fight
It's not uncommon for fighters to back on themselves like Petchtanong Petchfergus has done for his upcoming clash with Nabil Anane.
He knows what he brings to the table and is also confident in his ability to adapt in the fight if he needs to.
That being said, what Anane might lack in kickboxing experience, he makes up for in confidence as a Muay Thai striker that is used to getting his hand raised.
He's got experience fighting top names so whilst kickboxing is new for him, this stage certainly isn't.
