Former undisputed ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon of Thailand is fresh off a resounding victory over English rival Jacob Smith last weekend. But, he has shifted focus to a big-money fight against Japanese star Takeru Segawa.
Rodtang scored a unanimous decision win over Smith at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video, and then quickly faced off with 'The Natural Born Crusher' in the ring to hype up their inevitable showdown.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Rodtang talked about Takeru and what he thinks of the Japanese kickboxing icon's skills.

"He’s fast, he has dangerous attacks. But, he has no defense. I feel like he’s always been like that."
Rodtang lost his flyweight Muay Thai gold on the scales, when he failed to make weight and pass hydration for his bout against Smith on Saturday. Though the 27-year-old has expressed his intent to recapture the strap, Rodtang admits it may be high time to fight Takeru.

'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon may have lost his ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title last weekend, but it won't be gone from his shoulders for long, according to him.
Speaking to veteran ONE Championship broadcast analyst Mitch 'The Dragon' Chilson in the ring after his unanimous decision win over Jacob Smith at ONE 169 on Prime Video, Rodtang had this message for his fans.
'The Iron Man' said:
"I have deep regret for losing that belt. I’m just a kid growing up doing Muay Thai. I’m struggling. I fought so hard for that belt and have been through so many hardships. I want to tell everyone that in the future, I will get that belt back and I will take it back to the Thai people!"
